Hotel Van Zandt

In 2014, Ion Art was approached by JMI Realty/Kimpton Hotels to collaborate on a signage package for Hotel Van Zandt in Austin, Texas. Along with fabricating and installing several wall and monument signs around the hotel, we were thrilled to design the eye-catching neon “HOTEL” that scales the side of the building. Each neon letter was around ten feet tall and consisted of approximately six separate units of neon per letter. With a wall that’s 196′-6″ tall to the top, this install was not for the faint of heart. It was a long and intimidating process, but very rewarding in the end.
